Once your appointment has been booked you will receive a message on confirmation, I will then also send a friendly reminder 24 hours prior to your booking. I completely understand that sometimes life gets in the way and rescheduling appointments is sometimes necessary. If you would like to reschedule, I ask if you could please give at least 24 hours notice. This then allows me to try and fill your space with another dog. Please note that any late cancellations that are made within 24 hours of your appointment, I will charge a fee of 50%. This is necessary to help cover costs and losses for running a small business.

I do not knowingly accept dogs into the salon with fleas. Please check your dog before your scheduled appointment. If you find any Fleas, I kindly ask if you could please call or text ASAP to reschedule your appointment. Please give at least 24 hours notice to avoid a late cancellation fee. If fleas are found during the grooming process, the groom may be stopped.

Appointment times are not flexible. I am running on a one-to-one basis which does not allow me time for lateness. I will try my best to accommodate where possible; however if you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may need to be cancelled, and the full charge will still apply. Late arrivals can impact the rest of the day's schedule and other clients who are booked in. Owners will be notified around 20 minutes before collection time. If more notice is needed, this can of course be done at drop-off. If there is more than one occasion where you collect your dog late, you could be charged a fee as this can make me late for my next appointment.

In the event of an emergency, we may seek professional veterinary attention for your dog at your expense. Every effort will be made to contact you before or during this time. Every dog's welfare is my utmost priority! A general health check will be carried out during the grooming process to identify any visible concerns. If I notice anything that may require attention, I will contact you immediately. The grooming process can be stressful for some dogs, please let me know before the appointment if your dog has any stress-related issues, heart conditions or health concerns. It is also important to share any history of surgeries, allergies, skin sensitivities, or reactions prior to your appointment. Please keep Ella’s Grooming Co up to date with any changes to your dog’s health or medical conditions - This help us ensure their grooming experience remains as positive, safe, and comfortable as possible.

At Ella’s Grooming Co the safety and well-being of all dogs in my care is my upmost priority. The safety for myself as the groomer is also important. For this reason Ella’s Grooming Co does not accept aggressive behaved dogs. Aggressive behaviour includes if your dog has ever bitten or attempted to bite a person or a dog. I kindly ask that you inform myself prior to your appointment. During the grooming process, if your dog displays aggressive behaviour, we may use a muzzle or gentle restraints to ensure the safety of both your dog and the groomer. If, at any point your dog shows signs of aggression or attempts to bite, the grooming session may be stopped immediately for the safety of your dog and the groomer.

Matting occurs when a dogs coat becomes tangled and knotted, which is often close to the skin. Severe matting can cause discomfort, skin irritation, restricted movement and other health issues. At Ella’s Grooming Co your dogs comfort and well-being always comes first. IIn cases of severe matting, your dog may need to be completely clipped-down rather than undergoing a painful and stressful de-matting process-Something we never want for your dog. You will always be contacted before any de-matting or full clipped-down takes place.
